The company has shown fairly solid and profitable operations in the last 3 years, with a robust ROE at close to the 20% mark over the last 3 years. Sales may have been erratic, but that is more due to cyclical factors. Net margins are attractive at close to 10%.
At the current issue price of ₹299 per share, the valuation of the company is at a P/E ratio of 18.7X in terms of latest year EPS of ₹15.98. with the steady growth in EPS, this should look more attractive in terms of forward valuations. The big advantage for the company is its positioning in the technology solutions space, which is growing rapidly. The company has built a strong base of OEMs in India, whom they have been servicing consistently.
The financial track record is also strong and the company has shown consistent growth in the profit pool. Asset turnover may be tad low, but that is not too relevant for this business. In terms of valuation, the company is reasonably priced in the IPO. The shift in the IT space has been towards small and mid-cap space with more focused business models. Investors can look at this IPO from a longer-term perspective.
